"Don't look back. You're not going that way." -UnknownReally, I've only worked out a few days since joining a gym, but I feel better already. I'm planning on making a much more in-depth post about my experiences, but I wanted to give a quick update on everything.
My first class was Zumba. I felt energized, happy, and refreshed after it. I'm not very used to it yet, but after a couple of more classes, I'll be into the swing of things. I liked how enthusiastic and friendly my instructor was. She engaged really nicely with the whole class and made me feel like (High School Musical reference in 3, 2, 1) we were all in this together.
This week, I was going to take my first Hatha yoga class, but they instructor couldn't make it, so instead I ended up taking Les Mills Bodyflow, which is a combo of yoga, tai chi, and pilates. Good god, was that a workout. I could barely drive home afterwards, my legs were so sore, I felt really great afterwards. I felt even proud of myself for getting through it. (I talk a little more about it in my 'Myself and I' post.)
Lastly, my pilates class. Two days after and my legs still have not recovered. It was an amazing workout and, although it was very, very difficult work, I can't wait to do it again next week!
I'm very happy with the classes I've chosen. I think it's a great variety and I'm excited in feeling results in my health. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted.
